Terms of Service
These are the terms for using the GroupCation iPhone app and related services ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
Accounts
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Share any account credentials you keep with trusted travelers only.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create in the Service — trips, itinerary items, notes, and expenses. You grant us a limited license to store, back up, and display that content in order to provide the Service, including displaying it to the other travelers you invite to a trip.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to harass, defraud, or impersonate another person.
- Upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware.
- Attempt to bypass security controls or access data you are not authorized to access.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages.
Payments
Payment requests inside GroupCation are settled through third-party providers (e.g. Stripe). Disputes about payment amounts or refunds should be settled between the travelers involved. We do not hold balances on your behalf.
Service availability
We aim for the Service to be reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Beta builds may contain defects. We may suspend or modify features to improve reliability.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or place the Service or its users at risk.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and our aggregate liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months or, if greater, USD $50.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where GroupCation operates. Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights that cannot be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be surfaced in the app before they take effect. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
